Emotion
Emotions are what set us apart from being robots or killing machines. ( We almost reach that level anyway with all those dramatic wars, idiotic genocide, incredulous terrorism, hostile provocation, stupendous criminal activities and indiscriminate poaching of animals and humans alike).
The symbol of joy is wind. Carefree, relaxing and unbounded. Odd enough, happiness is absent in almost everyday life of those rich and wealthy. Many celebrities and socialite have to resort to artificial bliss inducer to enjoy a moment of purest ecstasy. Heroine, marijuana, drugs, narcotics, depressants, cough medicine and glues are the common source for those so-called allegedly happy stars. Natural happiness is simple. Having faithful company, possessing loving family, creating excellent social circles, hanging out with the likes and owning strong religious hold are the part and parcel of paving the way to high.
Water symbolizes sadness. This feeling is always accompanied by the scene of heavy rains, running tears and annoying sobs. And, it's all watery. Despair from any undesirable circumstances devoid of any inept always plunges us into the deep pit of gray emotions. It sometimes grants the "feeler" a sense of tranquil and blank state providing clearer cognitive skills to compensate for the pain in the heart. Excessive similar emotion can be a lethal poison as it leads to depression which if not curbed properly ends with suicide.
Anger is synonymous with fire. Fiery temper seem to be the trait of all superheroes and protagonists. Whenever they face a difficult foe or impossible quest, their mood will flare up increasing their power by a thousand folds. While we are often taught to suppress our anger in the real world, anger is the essential personality in our imagination. Keep your heads down are often the words thrown at us for being audacious. Perhaps twisting the common world rules is much more auspicious.
Calm is earth. Not feeling anything, plotting strategies and planning cunning tricks are often the calm people. Sadly, it is always bestowed upon the best villains in every fiction and the second protagonists as well. An unseen emotion in all the heroes except Odysseus.
More Latin.
